FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lincolnshire Youth Mission

Official company launch, Edward King House, Monday October 30th, 2006 at 7:30pm

Today's Date -- Monday 30th October, 2006

Monday 30th October will see the launch of Lincolnshire Youth Mission, a limited company seeking charitable status, formed to support young people in local churches and communities. The event will be held at Edward King House, in the presence of The Bishop of Lincoln, The Chair of the Lincoln and Grimsby District of the Methodist Church, The Mayor and Mayor’s Chaplain and the Sheriff of Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Youth Mission was born out of the success of Just10 Lincolnshire, a county-wide event that encouraged people of all ages to think about the difference that the Christian faith could make to their lives. During this time it became clear that local churches needed support and encouragement in their existing efforts to reach young people.

The directorship of the company is comprised of individuals from different denominations, all of whom have a passion for youth work. Chairman of Lincolnshire Youth Mission, Nick Chambers states, “Our organisation is an exciting vehicle to deliver support for young people within the local church and community. Thanks to the enthusiasm and determination of so many, our first scheme, ‘The X Factor Youth Project’ is under way. The interest in Lincolnshire Youth Mission has been overwhelming and we hope it will be a platform to encourage further youth work within the county.”

Members of the press are welcome to attend this event.
