FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lincolnshire Youth Mission encourages young people to be high achievers:

Launch event for purpose-built climbing wall.

Lincolnshire Youth Mission will be celebrating the recent delivery of a climbing wall with a celebratory event staged outside the West Front of Lincoln Cathedral at 10:45am on Saturday 28th April. The wall will be used by the X-Factor Youth project in helping young people to grow in confidence as they become practiced in working together and overcoming difficulties. Gillian Merrion, Member of Parliament for Lincoln will be in attendance.

The wall has been funded with a grant of £6,515 from The Lincolnshire Community Foundation in Sleaford. It has been supplied by Grafted, part of in2venture. Captain Rob Lowe, youth worker for the X-Factor Youth project says, “This equipment will help young people to reach new heights in both their day to day and Christian lives. It also offers educational value as the young people have to be trained beforehand to use the wall and learn about the equipment they must wear as part of this activity. It will be of great value to our work with young people across Lincolnshire

The aim of Lincolnshire Youth Mission is to help meet the spiritual, social and developing needs of young people. The X-Factor Project is a joint initiative between Methodist and Anglican Churches. It provides support to young people and their leaders in Washingborough, Moorland Park, Birchwood, Swallowbeck, Bassingham and Woodhall Spa.

Members of the press are welcome to attend.
